Bugaboo Sponsors us over at Come and Get it Challenge-ADD A PUMPKIN

What with Halloween coming soon to everyone's neighborhood, this image from Bugaboo called Autumn Owl is GREAT to use!  The "recipe" was to Add A Pumpkin, which I did on the front left corner with a foam dot! So sparkly with that orange glitter!
I used some special design paper, hoping that the circles would remind you of fireflies?  Some of them are embossed with glitter.  I just love the Fall coloring that the fence inspires me to color, what with the owl, pumpkins, sunflowers, and multi-colored leaves.  I'm hoping that you can see the black wired branches behind the glittered pumpkin with the black balls on the ends-they were so interesting!  I often wander the bridal aisle at HL and look for crystals..balls that can be used on a card-very unique.  You should try it too!
On the inside I used the reverse side of the nighttime paper and stamped it with a special KKS clear acrylic stamp.  Sure is getting me in the spirit for Fall events!  Come on over and join or challenge-we'd love to see what you make!!

All Dressed Up reminds you Of their CHALLENGE Going on--I'm using SNOW DAYS!

I'm so excited that over at All Dressed Up Images there are some Winter/Christmas digis in with the New Releases that debuted on the 7th!!
I love Christmas-one of my FAVORITE Holidays ever.  So my choice for this card is called Snow Days!  I colored this bundle of icy crystals with Prismacolor pencils-think I'm getting a little better with practice.  Now the background is done with copics so I could get that smooth blend of light blues to deep ones.
Then using some metallic cardstock from TPC (white shimmery and blue with shimmery flecks in it) as mats, I then used 2 different design papers.  The sentiment is already on the print BUT I enhanced the image with half domed white snowballs-they shimmer also, and some blue and silver metallic snowflakes.
The inside is also finished and a Christmas greeting is stamped onto a special circle mat.  Hope you like and hope you remember that there is still a Challenge going on over at All Dressed Up!

REMINDER of a Color It Create It Show It Off CHALLENGE! It's time for FALL

I always like this time of year when I can bring out my Black Sparkly cardstock to use as a background when I take my October images! It makes them so special!
This special card is to REMIND each and every one of you that we have a Challenge going on over at Color It Create It Show It Off and you still have time to join us!  There are some adorable Sherri Baldy images to choose from if you're a winner!
I chose to use  Scan0011 (or as I call her Fall Girl hehe) and I really went full out FALL COLORS on this one!!  The real reason there's so many patterns on the that I liked ALL of them and couldn't make up my mind!  The one with the leaves has shiny embossed sections on it-swoon!  Love adding buttons (THAT comes from my Mom), I accented the bottom edge with mini yellow pompom fringe to give different texture and topped it off with a tag stamped with a KKS stamp and orange epoxy dot.  I always finish the inside of the cards I make and this time used a kraft and pumpkin paper with yet another KKS stamp and dots.
Hope this got your creative juices going and you're chomping at the bit to join our Challenge over at CICISIO!

This one is called Witch Ellie riding broom and she was a dream to color up!  Copics were my coloring choice and I added some random roof tops underneath her-they aren't part of this image.  I matted her with this Amazing thick, wrinkly, neon green paper that has sparkle to it.  I got it at HL in black, green and purple-awesome for this time of year. Added some accent buttons and then used a design paper that had green bats flying around.
On the inside, I used the reverse side of the bat paper and then stamped it with a great Halloween sentiment from KKS.

HALLOWEEN/Anything Goes at Color It Create It Show It Off--Come Join our Challenge!

And the Spooky Fun begins with our October 1st Challenge over at Color It Create It Show It Off--You can use whatever image you'd like and any medium that peaks your fancy -we have started using "themes" every month and this month it's HALLOWEEN!
I had such fun using one of Sherri Baldy's Fun Halloween images which is Lil Rascals Img 533 --Love the Lil Rascals cute facial expressions!!  I colored her in a combination of prismacolor pencils and copics.  I'm just getting used to the pencils and they are fantastic to use-hopefully I will soon do a complete image with them when I get brave enough!  I double matted the image and used sheer black ribbon for an accent.  Then I found this dimensional Halloween banner "Haunted" and attached it with brads and adhesive.  I will be so excited to send this to a long lost friend!

On the inside I used some batty background design paper, a great sentiment stamp from KKS and an accent of a felt pumpkin.
We hope that we see your creations for our challenge--it's well worth the effort to have a chance to win Sherri's images--If you use the Theme of the Challenge, here are the images that you could choose from if you are the winner:

Come and Get It Challenge is ATG!! Come see my Sherri Baldy Harvest Girl Thanksgiving card!

Oh I do so love this time of year when the leaves are turning beautiful colors, there's a crispness in the air and you are just Thankful for seeing all the Season's Beauty.
Over at Come and Get It we have a Challenge going on and would love to see whatever creation you'd like to share with us!  Di's Digis is our sponsor this week and it's an ATG Challenge-we all love those don't we!
The Image I chose to use is called Img654 Lil Harvest Indian Girl by Sherri Baldy.  I just adore her and love all the intricate details that Sherri's drawn into this image.  From her leather wrapped hair, the beading on her dress and boots, then to the feathers in her hair or the
buckskin she's wearing--It was all so much fun to color.
I'm still trying to learn more and more about Prismacolor pencils when I've been hooked on Copics forever.  So I find that I tend to use a blend of both.  The pencils for the fine detail and tight spaces and the copics for a more broad application.  The Best of both Worlds in my opinion.  On this card, I used a dark brown heavily creased handmade paper in the background.  Then I used a leafy cream print that really brings out the buckskin color.  I added a touch of raffia wrap and then 2 thick accents in the corner that were actually found in the party aisle--they were Picks that you might insert in a cupcake perhaps.  I'm always looking in unusual places for embellishments-not just in the scrapbook area of a store.  Think outside the box.  On the inside, an acorn design paper, stamped sentiment from KKS and then I glued the tiny leaf(s) on the mat and down the falling leaves!  Hope you like-come on over and join us!!

A reminder to Come over to All Dressed Up and Play with us!!

When I chose the "3 Little Autumn Girls " to use I wanted to try and use as many of them as I could.  For this 6x6 card, I folded the front face of the card back and that was the staging for the girl with the blue cap.  The girl with the highlights in her hair is actually laying flat on the inside right panel.   I lined up the "burlap" mats and added Fall Flower Soft with glue to the ground under their feet.
When you pull open the left panel, you can see that there is more burlap paper filling the whole inside of the card.  I used a large fishtail die cut from a friend and then stamped it with a great KKS stamp with a yummy chocolate Colorbox ink.
This is basically a reminder to come over and check out the challenge that's still going over on our blog.
There are so many talented artists on the DT-come on over and meet us--this is a great challenge!  I love this time of year when the air is getting crisper and cooler.  Happy Fall Y'all!

Reminder to come on over and play with us at Color It Create It Show It Off!

I created another card for Color It Create It Show It Off  as a REMINDER of the great Challenge we currently have going on!  Doesn't this cutie sitting on a Strawberry Jam jar make you hungry for that sweet treat?  Yummy!  She's Img671 from Sherri Baldy's shop.  Trying to keep everything rosy and pinkish-red I used 2 different design papers and then some Petal Lu flowers.
I just love this KKS Sweetness stamp I used for the inside sentiment!
Come on over and play with us at CICISIO and hopefully you will win some images for your efforts!  We'd love to see your creations!

Help us Celebrate National Grandparent's Day over at Come and Get It!

It's Grandparents Day around the world, so it's a perfect time to let them know just how much they're loved.  Here at Come and Get It Challenges, we are fortunate to be Sponsored by Paper Nest Dolls for this Special Day.
Because of my Mom's love of "critters", we've always loved Owls.  So when offered a choice of images, I was thrilled to use this one "Owl Always Love You".  I colored her up with Copics and used this reversible paper from Echo Park and Bella Blvd.  Using a small oval die cut from a friend, I stamped the most appropriate sentiment from KKS!  On the inside I used scraps to give it some interest and used one of my rubber stamps for a special person.
We'd love to see your creations in our challenge-we get SO inspired by your creations!  Great chance to win images also!

Recipe cards make us Hungry over at Color It Create It Show It Off with Sherri Baldy's Images!

The Theme this week over at Color It Create It Show It Off is a recipe card.  Instead of a scrapbook Recipe Challenge where you pick 1 item from each column of a table to make your card with, it's an actual recipe card!
Mine is a favorite recipe of my Mom's-Olive Cheese Snacks.  I'm telling you I could make myself **sick** on these, they are so good!  Since one of my favorite color combo's is purple and green, I found some design paper that reminded me of the shape of an olive, used a kraft die cut and some green pearl accents.  I used img 051 from Sherri Baldy's shop-just perfect little chef  for my card.  On the inside, I used the gorgeous purple polka-dot and a friendship stamp--this could even be given as a gift along with the finished yummy snack!  Well share one of your delicious treats with us and play along with our challenge!  It doesn't take too much for us to create a snack while we are creating cards!

It's Batter Up! at Come and Get It Challenge- Theme is use 2 different Embellishments!

Well I'm sure we've all spent time at the ball diamonds this summer with our kids so I find that this set of 4 boys playing at the summer sports is perfect for the Challenge at Come and Get It!  The Twist on this Challenge is to use 2 different embellishments--Mine are Baker's Twine and a Bat/glove charm. Our Sponsor for this Challenge is Pickled Potpouri and my image is called the Boys of Summer
I was so happy that I'd saved this baseball stitched paper for just the right card!  Makes a great background for this type of card.  This is on a 4.75" sq. card so I matted the design paper with red cardstock as well as the copic colored image.  You can see the r&w twine and then the waxed cord bow holding the charm.
On the inside I used a brightly colored paper with baseball caps.  This is unusual for me, but I left no sentiment on the inside.  That way I could use it as a Birthday card, or even a Thinking of You card.
Be sure and join us in our Challenge and have a chance to get a prize from our Sponsor!

ATG over at All Dressed Up--I used a "Summer Fayre" Image

Welcome back to a brand new challenge. We had some fabulous entries last month, so check back on the 29th our winner and top three as chosen by our DT!
As always the theme for our Blog Challenge is -
Anything Goes
but you must use a All Dressed Up Image.
Not got any? There are some gorgeous freebies -} here.
But please respect the rules!
Or you can buy any of Wendy's fab images from the All Dressed Up store -} here.
Now what could be easier than that?

We will randomly pick a winner to receive 3 images of your choice, and our DT will chose their top 3 creations.

I've used the Wonderful ADU image called "Summer Fayre"-perfect for this time of the year.  Love the whole concept of this-sitting out among the trees with banners flying and some goodies ready out on the table.  Colored her soft and feminine and was lucky enough to find a great paper match!  Used a KKS sentiment stamp on the outside and inside of the card.  On the inside was a simple strip of the distressed orange paper with a cupcake stamp!

We do hope you will find the time to play along - You have until the evening of the 14th August to enter your creations.   And don't forget there will be more amazing examples from the DT using this month's new releases back here on the 22nd.

ATG w/ Added Theme By The Sea - Color It Create It Show It Off Challenge

This is my DT card for Color It Create It Show it Off ~~Reminder Post~~  We want to "remind" all of you to get your entries/projects entered into the CICISIO Challenge.    It's been going on since the First of the month with the theme ATG / By The Sea and Nautical items are everywhere!
My image is called Sailor Boy and can be found here.  There are so many clever ideas - you must check them out!  I had this awesome "wave-like" paper and even fancy cut out a section to let the cardstock fish pop up from the waves!  I let the sisal rope peak out of the top corner and then trimmed the edges with some cut outs of a rope design paper!  The sentiment is from KKS and makes a great masculine Happy Birthday Card!  Now be sure and get your entries turned in over at the Challenge-you've got a couple of weeks left and a great chance to win some images from Sherri Baldy!

Sketch Challenge at Come and Get It Challenge! Knitty Kitty is our Sponsor-come out and Play!

I always enjoy making Birthday cards and need several of them -I'm using this adorable image from Knitty Kitty to create my project for the Come and Get It Challenge.  The Theme of this Challenge is to use this Sketch--You will notice that I turned my sketch to accommodate the rectangular shape of my image: called Hanging Around for You. That's the beauty of sketches-they are very versatile!
This is a 6x6 card with multiple layers, an adorable handcolored image and lots of embellies.
On the inside, I used more of the floral paper and a large Birthday Greeting stamp.
CAGI is excited to see YOUR project--we are always an ATG challenge but are now using THEMES each month.  We have great Sponsors for our challenges and it's a great way to win a prize!
