Craft Your Passion~Always Anything Goes Challenge~ Sponsored by Julia Spiri-CHALLENGE WINNER & Top 5!

For the second image I used The Little Dragonfly from Julia Spiri and just love the way she turned out!  This image is a very popular one from her store and she's so delicate looking!
I think fairies looks so interesting in colored hair-pulled out a technique from the past where you show a lighter shade of the color through the wings to help with the transparency effect of the wings, which have a coating of Diamond Stickles over them.  Tried the split look of 2 different design papers which is so totally different for me!  A matted stamped sentiment and a cluster of wood, paper, and prima flowers with rhinestone centers and die cuts balance off the corners.  The inside of the card is finished off with another stamped sentiment.
We look forward to you joining us over at the Craft Your Passion Challenge blog!
I'd like to enter this card at:

Craft Your Passion ~Always anything Goes ~Sponsored by Julia Spiri

During the next 2 weeks at Craft Your Passion, we will be having an Always Anything Goes challenge as usual!  And we are being sponsored by Stamps by Julia Spiri- and I couldn't be more thrilled!
SO thrilled I asked to use 2 of her images, cause I couldn't make up my mind!  First up is one called Little Gnome.  Would you just look at those gorgeous eyes!!!  I just picture her out in a forest with lots of greenery and creatures.  To make it even more fun, I turned the image into a BOBBLE Card!  It's hard to catch the action but I tried!  Just puts a smile on my face. I used 3 different fishtail banners on the side and stamped a sentiment at the bottom of the card about friendship.  On the inside, I repeated the yellow mini dot paper with a curved cardstock accent.

Masculine card at Sasakari Glitter-a freebie for all!

This is an adorable image from Sasakari Glitter called Lonely Boy-and it's a freebie on her site this whole month.  I need to do more masculine cards-I love using boyish embellies!
This is on a 4x4 card blank, using tones of blues, greens and browns and metal silver star stickers, and a silver metal swirl that I curled around the edge of the card.  Found some really neat denim washi tape and matching denim ribbon at my LSS so tied some on the swirl.  As this is a Happy Birthday card, on the inside I lined it and then used assorted chipboard glazed letters/numbers that are SO boy-like.  Hope you will visit Naz's site and visit her Etsy store-some cute images there!
I'd like to enter this Birthday card at:

Melonheadz Sponsors Crafting When We Can ...For My DT ANNOUNCEMENT!

I've found a great site called Crafting When We Can (CWWC) with great sponsors, fun teamies and bi-monthly challenges.  With this challenge, I'm announcing that I'm now on their Design Team and am excited to join!
The Challenge for the next 2 weeks is sponsored by Melonheadz and I chose to use "Liz's Gone Fishing" and in the "bundle" you get such variety!  And with them being PNG's, you have the freedom to move them and overlap the images.  For instance, this card has 5 of the images shown.  For additional accents, I used a patterned paper to indicate sand, a colored chipboard sun, some paper flowers and die cut grass, and some cloud paper from my stash.  On the inside, I used a paper that I thought reminded me of shimmering water and a friend sentiment from my stash as well.
I hope you will join me in supporting this group and join in the challenge we have going on-the theme is to use a Digital Image and there is a Winner and Top 3 Awards!  Hope to see you there!

DT call at Conie Fong Art and Design--WON TOP 3 ON CHALLENGE!!

I first was introduced to the beautiful images of Conie Fong when I was on the Design Team at Sweet Pea Stamps.  The delightful cuties would just draw you in and you'd love to bring them to life.
So you can imagine how happy I was to hear that they were going to be having their very first DT call!  Submissions will be taken through March 15th so make sure you get creating!
This image is called Sally and Snowball and even though it's one of Conie Fong's older digitals, it's one of my favorites!  It reminds me of my daughter when she was very young and her love of animals.
After die cutting her finished image, I mounted it to kraft paper which matched this *Perfect* paper from BoBunny called Woodland Winter Slush, full of blues and browns.  I used a golden brown sheer ribbon and a delicate wooden snowflake to trim the piece, wanting to focus on the image instead.  On the inside, I used the reverse side of the paper, added a kraft tag with some thick baker's twine and a sweet sentiment.  Just right for any occasion!
Just showing a sneak peak of 2 other Conie Fong images I've got completed and just waiting to be placed on cards-see the possibilities are endless!

Sasayaki Glitter now has a new member on their Inspiration Team!

I've just joined the Inspiration Team of Sasayaki Glitter and am looking forward to exploring her wonderful Digi Etsy store found HERE and finding all sorts of images to play with!
The image I used on this snowy card is called "So Cold" and is so appropriate for these past few days here in Illinois, cold, windy, snowy and blowy!  And yet, it's supposed to be in the 60's this weekend! Yep! Illinois!
After coloring her with copics, I used chunky white Frantage scattered over & surrounding her and piled at the bottom-I LOVE the look of this snow.  I trimmed the edge of the 2/3 cut front with glittered snowflakes and glued a Memory Die snowflake edge trim to the backside.  I've tried to open it a bit so you can see the overlay better.  So delicate!  On the inside, is a beautiful dark blue design paper with white swirls all over it-for sure snow!  Found a perfect Birthday sentiment to go along with it for the "lucky" people with those wintery special days!
Well be watching for additional posts that will showcase Images from this adorable site.  They will just inspire you!

Anything Goes w/ a Twist "Love is in the Air" at the Julia Spiri Challenge--I WON Top 3 at Julia Spiri-Yeah!!!

This cutie is my entry in the Julia Spiri Challenge Blog and she is Valentina.  What a gorgeous digital image for Valentine's day, or an anniversary card, or just because you Love someone!  I adore all the little hearts everywhere!
After coloring her with Copics, I matted her with a deep red cardstock.  Picking up the red in the design paper, I placed a sheer ribbon wrapped around the end of the front.  I cut in half a glittered Prima flower and used halves in the flower cluster, along with red felt rolled flowers HMBM, small paper flowers and rhinestone accents.  On the inside, I used embossed red heart paper and a color print of a sentiment heart with all sorts of Love words!  Come over and play with this challenge- The theme is Anything Goes with a twist, Love is in the Air, and although they would like you to do the same, it is NOT essential.
The winner will receive 2 images but if the random winner has used a Julia Spiri image you will get 4 images and a possible GDT spot for a future challenge-hope to see you there!

Woodland Enchantress posting at Lacy Sunshine Stamps

I've been playing with a great image called Champion Woodland Enchantress from Lacy Sunshine Stamps.  I so enjoyed all her "nature" features what with the mushroom, spores, moss, and butterflies.
Now anyone that knows me...I'm a Libra...knows that I like to have everything balanced.  So it was a stretch to angle the finished image and then do the opposite with the design paper from Graphic 45 underneath.  But I do love it!  I placed this cutie on to of a stone wall as she just looked like she should sit on something!  Then I added some multi-colored Flower soft in the Spring line.  Take a look at the background paper-it's a heavy patterned handmade paper in a beautiful loden green.  Loved using it! On the inside we have offset papers again with a Get well Sentiment-can always use those!!  Hope you like and thanks for visiting.

Anything Goes Challenge over at All Dressed Up!--WINS TOP 3!!!

I've had so much fun playing with this image called Amore from All Dressed Up!  The set is awesome as it gives you the Girl alone, w/ balloons and the balloons alone!  This is placed on a 6" square card, she's got a b&w mini dot mat, then red and finally a black mat.  I placed a strip of paper lace along 1 side to balance the red sheer ribbon and cluster of felt rolled roses, deep red paper roses and an impressive glittered pink curled rose.  I added some white spiral stamens for some height and fun!  The luscious background paper has love sentiments written all over it! On the inside, of course it wouldn't be about love without some red rose paper and I added a die cut with a sentiment attached-lots of room for writing those love notes
I'd like to share this on this challenge:

A Day for Daisies sponsors Always Anything Goes Challenge at CRAFT YOUR PASSION

It's always a great time when we have A Day for Daisies sponsoring our Always Anything Goes challenge at Craft Your Passion!!! This time is no different as we start to turn away from Winter time (I'm ignoring the fact that they are calling for
S N O W Monday) and look to Springtime and warmer weather.
The image I'm using is called Gathering Flowers, a simple but elegant image, colored in Copics.  I really like the clean look of this!  I trimmed back the front about 1.5" so that I could add a paper lace strip and show the inside design paper.  I put a cluster of paper roses, spiral stamens, and glass leaf stick pins.  On the inside, using coordinating polka dot paper, I accented with 3 different style buttons and a die cut with a Birthday stamp.  This will be a real winner to give to a friend!
I'd like to enter this in:
  • Come and Get it Challenge-1 digi, 2 papers, 3 embellishments

It's Mardi Gras time at Lacy Sunshine Stamps Blog Challenge!

With the beginning of Mardi Gras soon upon us, at Lacy Sunshine Stamps we decided to celebrate the occasion!  When I think of time down in New Orleans, I think of the colors Yellow-Green-and Purple, glitter, bling, feathers, and extravagance.
I put my thinking cap on and remembered when I visited that beautiful city many years ago--thinking stone walls with moss growing on them, large trees, a starry lit sky or fireworks, and of course, the great Lacy Sunshine stamp called Fantail Enchantress.
She has wisps of feathers in her hair, diamond stickles on her wings, sitting on her wall in some courtyard.  If you look close you can see dewdrops (rhinestones) on the tree (cause it's always damp down there) with moss all around it's roots.  I used this amazing heavy cardstock that has glittered colored sections in it-could be the reflections of lights from the surrounding landmarks or maybe sparkles from the fireworks that they have!  The sentiment on the bottom says "Mon Cheri" and on the inside "Love Conquers All".  A great card for Valentines' Day
Be sure to check out all the beautiful creations at our Challenge Blog and get your entry entered-there's a great prizes!
